Today was rather a flat boring drive, although nicely sunny, following the D950 for most of the way.  We now know that Kaz had used up all our French allowed internet while working on school stuff.  Neither of us realised that she had been live streaming whilst working.  So nil wi-fi but thank you McDonald’s! who saved the day.  Having parked up next to a McD we were able to download (upload? 625MgB) my photos to the cloud and thus free up my phone to take more.

Week 3  Monday 7 August  – Sunday 13 August

Monday – Vineyard – Le Maine Giraud – Champagne Vigny 16250 (GPS : N45.49654  E0.02905)

After leaving the campsite at Confolens we had to drive around the town as the main road through it had just closed due to the music festival taking place.          

Just had to include these before moving on today. On the left are some mushroomy things that popped up overnight.  On the right is a couple that arrived and over two hours managed to erect this, was very entertaining.

Week 2 Monday 31 July – Sunday 6 August

Monday – Duck Farm – Canards Gras du Cebron (79600) – Champeau – (GPS:N46.80319 W0.18513)

On our way to our nights stop we talked about how many ducks there might be, would it be noisy or smelly, what could we buy etc.  However when we got here it was a bit of an under statement as the place was out in the middle of no where and only a unit.  Parked up on the forecourt there were no ducks to look at or watch and just the road mender for company – they left at 4pm but were back at 7.30am!

Weeks 1 and 2

I am not used to putting paw to keyboard so the following is assisted more ably by T for the story so far……

Whisky and I are not used to keeping a diary or needing to know the days of the week.  Time is governed by eating, sleeping and walks.

Both of us love Zygie, our travelling home. T has had us both up at the farm, where Z is kept, lots of times over the last month or so doing his “thing.  Z has now got new rearranged shelves and wardrobes, a router for the wifi has been fitted, well loads of little techie things that are far too much for me to get my brain cell around.  Anyway every time we went up there we both had a long walk so that was really what we wanted.
